Fully In-House Manufacturing: Injection Molding, Stamping, Assembly & Tooling for Automotive Connectors

In an automotive connector, quality is decided long before assembly. It is decided in the tool, in the mold, in the stamping die and in the tolerance chain that links them. That is why we keep tooling, injection molding, metal stamping and assembly in the same plant - so a connector, its housing and its PCB header are engineered and built as one assembly instead of being stitched together by three suppliers.

In-house tooling shop - molds and stamping dies are designed and built by our own tool makers

Four core processes, one roof, one chain of responsibility

ProcessIn-house capabilityWhat it means for your program
ToolingMold making for connector housings and over-molded parts, progressive stamping dies for terminalsFirst article in days instead of months, and engineering changes handled without waiting for a third-party tool shop
Injection moldingEngineering thermoplastics - PBT and PA66 in flame-retardant and glass-filled gradesWall thickness, warpage and sealing ribs are controlled at the mold, not argued about afterwards
Metal stampingProgressive dies for signal terminals, power terminals, press-fit (eye-of-the-needle) pins and board headersTerminal geometry, spring force and plating thickness stay consistent from lot to lot
Assembly & testAssembly lines with in-line dimensional and electrical checks, 100% visual inspectionHousing, terminals and header leave the plant as a matched set - already validated together

Why vertical integration matters for automotive electronics

When the housing comes from one factory and the terminal from another, every tolerance stack-up problem becomes a discussion about whose fault it is. Vertical integration removes that discussion:

  • One tolerance chain. Housing, terminal and header are dimensioned against the same datum, so the assembled connector fits the customer's PCB footprint the first time.
  • Fast engineering changes. A revised rib, a new latch or a changed pin length can be tool-modified and re-sampled quickly because the tool shop sits next to the press.
  • A single point of accountability. One quality system, one set of records, one contact for PPAP documentation and inspection reports.
  • Protected intellectual property. Customer drawings and 3D models stay inside one plant instead of circulating through a supply chain.
  • Better lead time and cost structure. Fewer hand-offs means shorter cycle time, less freight and less buffer stock for you.

Custom design and production: any pin count, any structure

Standard catalog parts are only half of what an automotive program needs. Because we control the tool, we can build to your drawing - not just to our catalog:

Custom PCB header and automotive connector series with different pin counts and structures
Part of our sample board: same interface family across different pin counts, row layouts, mounting styles and plating options

  • Pin counts from 2 to well over 100 positions, in single-row through four-row layouts, including mixed signal and power arrangements.
  • Pitch families from fine-pitch 1.0 mm signal headers to 1.8 mm, 2.54 mm and 3.0 mm power-capable versions.
  • Mounting structures: vertical through-hole, right-angle, SMT, press-fit (eye-of-the-needle) and panel-mount configurations.
  • Sealing options: sealed (IP-rated) versions for wet or engine-bay locations, and open versions for dry, in-cabinet use.
  • Materials and plating: PBT / PA66 glass-filled housings with brass or copper-alloy terminals, plated in tin, nickel or selective gold for low contact resistance.
  • Matched housings: a connector interface integrated directly into an ECU enclosure, so the plastic housing and the board-end header are a single supplied set.

Built for intelligent driving and controller integration

Intelligent driving and domain-controller architectures multiply the number of connections while shrinking the space available for them. Our connectors are specified for exactly that pressure:

  • ADAS and domain controllers - stable contact resistance and signal integrity across high-vibration mounting positions.
  • Body and comfort control - BCM, window, seat and lighting modules where cost, space and reliability have to be balanced.
  • Telematics and gateways - T-BOX and gateway units, where fine-pitch headers pack I/O into a small footprint.
  • Powertrain-adjacent and exterior locations - sealed versions rated for -40°C to +125°C operating temperature.

Because the connector and the enclosure come from one production base, integration questions - clearance, routing, sealing line, mounting bosses - are answered by the same engineering team that builds both parts.

The quality system behind the processes

Manufacturing is handled by our production base, Henan Jinhua Electric Co., Ltd. - an IATF 16949 certified plant with ISO 14001, CE and RoHS compliance, 13,000 m² of floor space and 22 patents. We are the export arm of our own factory, so engineering support, quotations, samples and production all run through one channel with one technical team. PPAP and APQP documentation, first article inspection reports and material certificates are provided as standard on automotive programs.

Send a drawing, get a manufacturable answer

Whether you need a standard PCB header, a waterproof wire-to-board connector, a custom housing or a brand-new interface for a controller project, the fastest route is a drawing and a target volume. You will receive a manufacturability review, tooling and unit price indications, and a realistic sample schedule - usually with free samples for standard series and 15-25 days for production orders.
